Rosco, founded in 1910, is still best known for the products it originally manufactured: filters for entertainment lighting. The company now offers products in more than a dozen categories. These include gobos (or patterns), correction filters for film lighting, fog and haze machines, dance floors, scenic paint and backdrops for theatre and film/video.  Rosco also has innovated a number of lighting equipment products, including rotators, projectors, intelligent mirrors and LitePad, a remarkable LED-based fixture.  The company has been honored with four awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the "Oscars"). The awards were for Rosco's Cinegel range of lighting filters and the CalColor range of lighting filters. Other awards were won for the company's backdrops and fog machines.  Rosco's headquarters are in Stamford, Connecticut, with other US facilities near Austin, Texas and Hollywood, California. A truly multi-national company, Rosco maintains fully staffed businesses in Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, and Spain.

Lee Filters

It was the demand from the movie production industry for something better that originally led to the birth of LEE Filters in the late 1960s. Leading Cinematographer David Holmes gathered research and manufacturing expertise from around the globe, and pioneered the use of modern polymeric materials to make a wide range of filters for film and TV production, theatres and entertainment venues.  The company culture is one of continuous research and development, always searching for newer and better materials and more effective manufacturing techniques and processes.  This culture, backed by significant investments in machinery, ensures that our filters provide the ultimate in performance, availability, reliability and longevity.

Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC)

ETC began more than three decades ago with the conviction that there was a better way to make a lighting control console. There was. We developed one of the first microprocessor-based systems, which boasted the then blindingly fast 2MHz 8080 CPU! Now our popular lighting control consoles – including the Eos®, Congo® and Smart Solutions™ lines – are thousands of times more powerful than those groundbreaking early versions.

We also found that the HPL lamp is a better way to create brilliant light in the Source Four® – with unmatched light output and energy savings. Over 3 million award-winning Source Four fixtures are now lighting venues and productions worldwide. In addition, we offer a better way to seize the efficiencies of LED lighting with the eco-friendly Selador Series™. Selador LED luminaires give you the punch and power that theater and broadcast productions require, plus a stunningly beautiful, unprecedented seven-color range.
